Track List Here.
In a sudden burst of productivity, I made a new “full-length” mix in April, my first in almost three years!
Bryan Ferry’s “Song to the Siren” had me transfixed from the first listen. It sent me on a trip through his back catalog, as well as the back catalogs of Tim Buckley and Cocteau Twins. Guitar fans take note, FOUR of the world’s greatest guitarists appear on this one track: David Gilmour, Jonny Greenwood, Phil Manzanera, and Nile Rodgers.
Otherwise, three masters of the vibes appear (Roy Ayers, Milt Jackson of MJQ, and Cal Tjader) as well as two bands from Göteborg (Plej and Little Dragon), a representative from Philadelphia (Dee Dee Sharp), and the patron saints of Between Two Islands (Pet Shop Boys).
